The Diamond Head Bike to Hike tour offers an exciting and adventurous way to discover Oahu's natural beauty and rich history on Oahu's south and east-facing shores. This 3-4 hour journey is designed for those seeking physical challenge while simultaneously taking in Hawaii's incredible scenery.
Starting early at 7:00 am to avoid crowds and heat, and after your bike fitting and safety instruction, this tour begins by riding through Kapiolani Park and visiting WW1 Natatorium Memorial where Duke Kahanamoku trained for Olympic competition. Also included on your route will be visits to secluded green sand beaches, Disney house and homes of wealth that line its paths.
As you ascend 150-feet to reach the Diamond Head Lighthouse Lookout, you'll witness surfers enjoying Paradise waters while taking pictures with the Amelia Earhart memorial. Your tour also includes visits to Doris Duke's Shangri-La museum located in Black Point neighborhood as well as near where Hawaii FIVE-O / NCIS Hawaii TV series are currently filmed.
A highlight of the tour is a 45- to 1-hour hike up Diamond Head Crater's 300-foot climb, filled with both Hawaiian and World War I history. Along this path are breathtaking views of Oahu's south- and east-facing shores.
