If you go a little further south from Kamaole Beach I, you'll find Kamaole Beach Park II. They are very similar, but Kamaole Beach II is smaller in size. This beach can sometimes get skipped over as it is more hidden. There's only a small sign from the road marking its location. Between the road and beach are sand dunes with light colored sand that is feather soft. You can't get to the beach without crossing the dunes, but there are marked paths and boardwalks leading to the beach. More people come to this beach for snorkeling, especially on both ends of the beach where it's rocky. It's also a great beach for swimming, surfing, or body boarding with its delightful sandy bottom.
The waves are more dangerous during the winter months, so caution should be taken. Through part of the park, there is a grassy area where you'll find picnic tables and barbeque grills. There is a centrally located lifeguard stand with a sign that says a "beach assistance chair" is available, if needed. The only parking is on the ocean side of South Kihei Road, across from the "Kama'ole Shopping Center." There is also a wheelchair ramp that leads to the beach. Restrooms, showers, a changing station, and a volleyball court are all available.
