Formerly known as the Albert Wilcox Spencer Building, the Kauai Museum preserves the indigenous heritage of the Hawaiian people through its carefully kept collections of their handiwork. It was originally owned by businessman Albert Spencer Wilcox, a successful businessman who owned several sugar plantations. The museum was built as a library in 1922, but was later converted into a museum in 1960.
The Kauai museum provides extension information about the geography of the Hawaiian islands and the history of its people. There are also a variety of events including tours, hula, and music. General admission costs $15. View the Kauai Museum's site here.
